For the past five years, Syracuse University students have studied with filmmakers and production companies in Mumbai, India as part of the SU Abroad course Summer Program: Bollywood Practicum, which was developed by Newhouse associate professor Tula Goenka. The practicum provides students with a hands-on production experience and is taught at leading Bollywood director Subhash Ghai’s Whistling Woods International Institute for Film, Fashion & Media, and multiple other locations in Mumbai.
